Terms and Conditions
These are the terms and conditions of Platinum Healthcare Solutions Ltd. The Client means the person(s), Company or Organisation to whom the services of Platinum Healthcare Solutions Ltd are provided.
General Information
All courses and activities are constructed to ensure you receive the highest level of service at the best possible price. This requires you, the candidate / client, to attend all course sessions at the agreed time and date. In the event that a candidate is absent from a session, further tuition may be required in order to complete the course. Any costs incurred due to this will be payable by the candidate / client.
All candidates retain the responsibility to ensure all knowledge development is completed as required for course schedules. Candidates, who consistently fail to complete paperwork as required, may be required to complete additional sessions to ensure correct understanding of subjects. This may incur additional charges.
Candidates are expected to follow and comply with company health and safety procedures throughout the duration of the course. Candidates must ensure that they make the instructor(s) aware of any medical condition or relevant medical history that may exist which will have a bearing upon the teaching methods prior to, and if needs be, again at any relevant stage during training.
Furthermore, by accepting these terms and conditions, candidates agree that they are physically fit to complete the training course at hand.
All skills gained from the completion of training provided by Platinum Healthcare Solutions Ltd or any of its affiliated instructors, will only be used where required under the common law of necessity or in accordance with the applicable sections governing the provision of emergency medical care or the equivalent section and act which may be in existence in that particular country of incident.
Fees
All our prices are subject to VAT at the prevailing rate.
Fees for all Client site courses or events that are outside a twenty – five mile radius will be subject to travel expenses for the instructor(s) at a rate of 35 pence per mile for each journey undertaken, with the journey distance being calculated between Stoke-on-Trent and the course venue.
Fees for venues that are outside the twenty – five mile radius may also be subject to parking, congestion charges where applicable and accommodation charges on a basis of one night accommodation per day of training or event. Parking will be charged at no more than £10 per day. Accommodation will be charged at no more than £80 per night per instructor. Such charges will be added to the final quotation and agreed in advance with the Client. Charges will vary upon the nationwide fluctuation within parking and accommodation charges experienced throughout the country.
Fees are valid for 28 days from date of quotation. Platinum Healthcare Solutions Ltd invoice will be raised when the Clients’ order is confirmed. Where the fee is not paid at the time of order, the fee must be paid within 28 days of the invoice date.
Payment may be made via BACS or cheques payable to Platinum Healthcare Solutions Ltd
We understand and will exercise our statutory right to interest under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998 if we are not paid according to agreed credit terms. Platinum Healthcare Solutions Ltd reserves the right to charge interest on any overdue accounts at a rate of 3% over the base lending rate of Natwest in force at the date of invoice. Such interest shall accrue on a daily basis.
Individual Course Bookings
All course fees include the cost of Platinum Healthcare Solutions Ltd administration, documentation, use of equipment, all course notes, use of training materials and certification.
Payment: Full payment is required on commencing a course. Platinum Healthcare Solutions Ltd reserves the right to withhold certificates until full payment has been cleared. Invoices are payable within 30 days of the invoice on agreed accounts.
Cancellations: If an individual requests cancellation or postponement of any course, no fees will be payable PROVIDED that not less than 21 days written notice is given to Platinum Healthcare Solutions Ltd. After this period an administration fee will be charged under the following cancellation periods:

Transfers: A candidate transferred to the same course type within 7 days of the course start date will b charged an administration fee of £15.00. Transfers will only be accepted with payment. Transfer requests to a different course type will be considered a cancellation and charged appropriately.
Substitutions: Substitutions will be accepted provided they meet the pre-requisite criteria and are provided within 14 days of the course start date.
Corporate Course Bookings
All course fees include the cost of Platinum Healthcare Solutions Ltd administration, documentation, use of equipment, all course notes, use of training materials and certification.
All fees are quoted per course and have a maximum number of learners as promoted in our literature or specified in quotations. In certain circumstances, further students may be allowed to attend the course but Platinum Healthcare Solutions Ltd reserve the right to charge extra fees for additional students who attend.
Payment: Invoices are payable within 30 days of the invoice on agreed accounts. Platinum Healthcare Solutions Ltd reserves the right to withhold certificates until full payment has been cleared.
Cancellations: If the client requests cancellation or postponement of any course, no fees will be payable PROVIDED that not less than 21 days written notice is given to Platinum Healthcare Solutions Ltd. After this period an administration fee will be charged under the following cancellation periods:
Date Change: To alter the date (s) of a group booking payment must have been received. To alter agreed date(s) within 14 days of the course start date an administration fee of £50 will be charged.
Course Timing and Joining Instructions: Good time keeping throughout the course is essential. Platinum Healthcare Solutions Ltd. will issue for candidates which includes information on the starting time, venue, and date of the course. It is the responsibility of the employer to ensure that the candidate is fully briefed and made aware of these instructions and all course requirements, before attending the course.
Meeting the needs of our learners: Platinum Healthcare Solutions Ltd. has an equal opportunity policy. This is to enable us to ensure that all learners are treated fairly and their requirements are fully met, you must advise us in advance of any needs that your candidates have to enable them to participate fully in the training. Please note that there will be a charge for additional costs incurred for specialist equipment and/or personal, such as translators.
Re-certification: It is the employer's responsibility to ensure that all candidates attending refresher courses, such as First Aid at Work, hold proof of a current (in date) certificate that is valid for the duration of the refresher course be attended. It is the responsibility of the employer to provide a copy of the certificate at the time of booking.
Health and Safety On-site: The client is required to ensure compliance with any Legislation, Regulation, Code of Practice or Guidance laid down by the Health and Safety Executive with regard to the suitability of premises provided for courses at a Client provided venue. Platinum Healthcare Solutions Ltd will request details of the course venue (e.g. training room size) before course confirmation. Platinum Healthcare Solutions Ltd have produced full risk assessments pertaining to training courses, which they undertake, and all instructors undertake a dynamic risk assessment at all, venues. Where appropriate, students will be advised of any possible hazards which may be present during the course of training and procedures they should adopt to eliminate or minimise the risks pertaining to the hazards.
Disclaimer: Except in respective death or personal injury caused by the negligence of Platinum Healthcare Solutions Ltd, Platinum Healthcare Solutions Ltd. shall not be liable by reason of any representation (unless fraudulent) or implied warranty, condition, or other term, or any duty that common law or under the expressed terms of the agreement, any loss of profit or indirect special or consequential loss, cost expenses or other claims for compensations.
CANCELLATION.
Platinum Healthcare Solutions Ltd reserves the right to cancel or postpone any course. If this becomes necessary, as much notice as possible will be given and the client will be offered a choice, with due consultation of: a full refund, if the course has not yet commenced a proportionate refund, if the course has commenced and is not yet completed an alternative date to commence or complete the course as appropriate to the circumstances.
In exceptional circumstances and at the discretion of Platinum Healthcare Solutions Ltd, a course or places on a course may be postponed rather than cancelled. In cases where a course or a place on a course is immediately rearranged to an alternative date and therefore only postponed, cancellation fees will not be payable. Further cancellation or postponement of an already rearranged course or place on a course would be subject to a mandatory 100% cancellation fee irrespective of the amount of prior written notice which is given.
FAILURE TO ATTEND.
Candidates must attend and successfully complete all aspects of the course to qualify for certification. The full cost of the course will be charged for learners who arrive late or are absent on all or any part of the course. In the case of illness we are able to transfer delegates onto another course or offer a refund of part or all fees provided that we receive a medical certificate.
SUITABILITY.
Students selected for training must be those who are reliable and likely to remain calm in an emergency. In addition, they should have the aptitude and ability to cope with an intense course of study and be able to use the knowledge and skills learnt during the course. For certain courses, students must not suffer from any medical or other condition which would restrict their ability to undertake practical work which can be an essential part of the training. If a student is considered unsuitable in the opinion of Platinum Healthcare Solutions Ltd staff, with due consultation the student may be asked to leave the course. In this event Platinum Healthcare Solutions Ltd reserve the right to retain the fee or a proportion of the fee for that candidate. In all cases, learners must comply with the course pre-entry qualification requirements, as exceptions will not be made.
PROPERTY.
Any equipment and training materials supplied by Platinum Healthcare Solutions Ltd remains the property of Platinum Healthcare Solutions Ltd, apart from free issue course notes and other such material, which will be clearly identified. All such material may also be subject to Copyright and no copying or publishing of any part of it is permitted without the written permission of Platinum Healthcare Solutions Ltd, unless otherwise stated.
EVENT BOOKINGS.
All events booked are bound by these terms and conditions.
It is the responsibility of the point of contract for all events to ensure that all Medical requirements are met under the Health & Safety Executive, Event Safety guide. Platinum Healthcare Solutions Ltd holds no responsibility for failure to hold the required cover. Whilst advice may be offered by Platinum Healthcare Solutions Ltd, the definitive responsibility is retained by the event management.
Payment: Agreed accounts must be paid in full within 28 days of invoice date. All other invoices must be paid in full within 14 days of invoice date.
Cancellations: After booking, then you have the right to cancel your booking without charge within 21 days. After this period an administration fee will be charged under the following cancellation periods:
INSURANCE.
Platinum Healthcare Solutions Ltd carries medical malpractice and public liability insurance to a limit of £2,000,000 for any one incident. All property provided by and used by Platinum Healthcare Solutions Ltd on courses is insured against accidental damage. The Client is required to insure any equipment provided for onsite training against accidental damage.
FORCE MAJEUNE.
Platinum Healthcare Solutions Ltd shall not be liable for any loss, damage, alterations, delays or changes arising from unusual and unforeseeable beyond its control. Such as war, threat of war, riot, civil strife, industrial disputes including terrorist activity.
ALTERATION.
Platinum Healthcare Solutions Ltd reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions without prior notification. These Terms and Conditions of Trading shall be governed by English Law. Any alterations, modifications or extensions affecting the above clauses shall not be valid unless agreed by Platinum Healthcare Solutions Ltd and acknowledged in writing.
